My East Coast Adventure-Boston 2010
On 5th November, I set off on a whirlwind adventure. My first stop was to attend The SAM Convention
in Boston. This yearly event is run by my friend Steve Rogers. I first met Steve at FISM in 2006 and since then he has been working very patiently to get me across the pond to present my lecture at his convention. This turned out to be so much fun; I found that my first lecture, “The Tapestry of Deception” is still as valid today as when I first created it in 1999.
During the convention I met up with my old friend Dan Smith and also met Antonio Cabral for the first time. Boston is refereed to as New England; many of the district names are in fact named after many of the places here in the United Kingdom. The climate was identical, the food was outstanding and the magic exceptional.
During my stay, I had the privilege to meet the wonderful gentleman Ray Goulet. Ray owns a magic shop and has one the most impressive magic collections I have ever seen. Among Ray’s outstanding items is the original magic chest once owned by Fred Kaps and the original handkerchief used used by Harry
Blackstone jnr for his trade mark Dancing Handkerchief.
Be sure to check out my photo gallery to see some of the wonderful images from my Boston leg of my tour.
